Between San José and Villa Dolores, at the foothills of the Córdoba Sierras, lies Ahumada Waterski Club—an artificial lake purpose-built for waterskiing, with internationally certified infrastructure.
Surrounded by nature, with easy access and just 10 minutes from downtown Villa Dolores, this site was chosen to host the world’s best junior athletes.

We are a club born from the dream of a group of waterski enthusiasts—among them the Ahumada cousins and families from Villa Dolores—committed to growing this sport in a unique natural setting.
Thanks to the generous land donation from the Cardinali family, we were able to start building that dream. This is how Lago Ahumada was created: an open space for anyone who wants to learn, train, or enjoy competitions at the national, South American, and international levels.
Today, Lago Ahumada welcomes skiers from around the world who are looking for a place to improve, train with top-level equipment, and prepare to compete at the highest standard.
More than a club, we are a community that believes in the power of shared dreams—and in opening our doors to everyone who loves this sport as much as we do.

Years ago, we were a group of passionate water-skiers from Villa Dolores. Crossing the sierras, we trained at Lake La Viña—families, friends, and athletes united by the same desire: to grow in the sport we loved.
As time went by, our children also began to dream of gliding over the water, competing, and pushing themselves to improve. With their dreams came new needs: better conditions and a dedicated space designed specifically for training and development.
This is how the challenge of building our own lake began. Thanks to the generous donation of land from the Cardinali family, that dream started to take shape. More than ten years of work, learning, and perseverance made Lake Ahumada possible: a purpose-built body of water that meets the highest national and international standards, built with dedication and in full compliance with all regulations.
Today, Lake Ahumada is much more than a training site. It is an open space for anyone who wants to learn, train, grow, and enjoy. A place where children, youth, and adults can begin their journey in water skiing or witness national, South American, and international competitions.
What began as a dream has grown into a living community—where the spirit of the sport continues to thrive in every wave, every jump, and every smile on the water.
