Launch show and countdown to the 2026 FIFA U-17 World Cup
From April 1 to 5, 2026, the Ahumada Water Ski Club (Traslasierra, Córdoba) will host the Under-17 Water Ski World Championship, with 110 athletes from 19 countries competing in Slalom, Figures and Jump.
Argentina will be represented by 6 athletes (5 from Córdoba). Bautista Ahumada stands out, coming off a win in Figures U17 and a 2nd place finish in Slalom U17 at the Moomba Masters (Australia).
In addition to the competition, the World Cup will be an experience for all ages, with activities to enjoy as a family throughout the week.

Embalse became the ideal setting for the launch show of the Under-17 Water Ski World Championship – Villa Dolores 2026, marking the start of a historic season for this sport.
In an unforgettable day, 80 boats filled the lake and more than 1500 people enjoyed a top-level show, with the presence of the world's No. 1 Under-17, who gave impressive demonstrations in figures and slalom in front of an enthusiastic audience.
This demo not only celebrated water skiing but also officially kicked off the countdown to the major international event, which will take place from March 30 to April 5, 2026, at Lake Ahumada, the official venue for the World Championships. With invited athletes, professional organization, and an incredible setting, this launch promises a unique week of competition, excitement, and spectacle.
Córdoba is already preparing to welcome the best up-and-coming water skiers in the world, in an unprecedented international event in Argentina.

Official Launch of the 2026 Under-17 Waterski World Championships

With an inspiring and dynamic event, the 2026 Under-17 Waterski World Championships were officially launched. The competition will take place from March 30 to April 5, 2026, at the Ahumada Waterski Club, in the heart of Traslasierra, Córdoba.
During the presentation, Ivan Ahumada — vice president of FADEW — shared the story behind the creation of the lake, a venue built to meet international standards, ideal for both training and high-level competition. The event featured videos, the introduction of the official mascot Conco, and the announcement of a strong digital media campaign.
Supported by national and provincial institutions, this will be the first Under-17 World Championship ever held in Argentina, bringing together over 120 athletes from 30 countries.
